This brightly patterned apron is handmade by the Kesho Leo Mama’s sewing group at Food Water Shelter in Tanzania. It was made using recycled kanga material. The kanga is a colourful garment worn by women and occasionally by men throughout the African Great Lakes region (East Africa).
