Aussie hip hop with a positive message and support for children in poverty

“…we want to do our part in helping those less fortunate.” Vee&Josh

Combine funky beats with a rap master, a soulful voice, positive lyrics, generous hearts and…no swearing…that’s Vee&Josh.  Vee Syjongtian and Josh Faragher write music that “focusses on real subject matter and is created to drive, inspire, uplift and encourage their listeners.”

Recently, in their roles as youth leaders, they embarked on a school tour around Victoria where they heard about the issues of teens today and in turn, spread their message of self-worth and empowerment and to stand against bullying.  Their single ‘Perfect’ (which hit No.2 on iTunes) is “dedicated to all who may be suffering with issues concerning their body image, their identity or their self-worth”.

Last month saw the launch of their long awaited self-titled album and not only is it full of catchy, cool tunes but also 90% of all proceeds made from electronic downloads and hard copy sales will support children in Cambodia through PVBS and Samaritans Purse!  Their aim is to help raise awareness of poverty, human trafficking and homelessness so have been performing at events such as Free To Be concert and Youth Alive Victoria Encounter Conference and you can catch them at Fired Up (Berwick), Unleashed (Cobram) and various Carols leading up to Christmas.
